Guido Rodríguez has assured Real Betis fans that he is very happy at the club.
Speaking after the 0-0 draw on the final matchday against Real Madrid that secured fifth position in the league for Betis, In quotes picked up by Marca, the Argentine said: “I thank them for the love they have for me. It is mutual. I’ve already said before that I’m very happy in Seville. I have a contract and I’m very happy here.”
The midfielder has been a lynchpin of Betis’ midfield for a couple of seasons now, therefore attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite.
The 0-0 draw was Betis’ fifth successive clean sheet at the Santiago Bernabéu, to which Guido responded: “I didn’t know that, but it does feel good to play here.”
Guido also lauded Betis’ season, one where they’ve comfortably clinched European football and won the third Copa del Rey in the club’s history.
“It has been a brilliant season. I think we have all enjoyed it. When the season started, we set ourselves some goals. I think we’ve achieved many and we are happy. Obviously it makes you think that having won a few more points could have given us the chance to enter or fight for the Champions League till the last day, but we will try again next season.“
