Girona want one Barcelona star, but rule out move for another

The powers that be at Girona remain keen on the summer signing of one member of the midfield ranks at Catalan rivals Barcelona.

But the Blanquivermells are altogether uninterested in the services of another Barca star.

That’s according to transfer insider Adrian Sanchez, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.

The subject of potential transfer dealings between Girona and Barcelona has of course long taken its place front and centre in the media headlines.

As much comes amid ongoing speculation surrounding the futures of Eric García, Pau Víctor, Oriol Romeu, and Pablo Torre.

And it is the latter two of this quartet whose potential returns to the Estadi Montilivi have on Thursday been clarified.

Romeu, for his part, departed Girona for Barcelona last summer, with youngster Torre having moved in the opposite direction on loan.

And Míchel and co. remain keen on the idea of having Romeu back at their disposal for the club’s first-ever season in the Champions League.

The situation of Torre is altogether different, however, with the 21-year-old not currently in the plans of the Girona brass.

It is therefore concluded that:

‘The player is training with the Barcelona first-team waiting to know what will happen to his future.’
