A member of the midfield ranks at Getafe is inching towards an incoming move to La Liga rivals Girona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing journalist Ivan Quirós, who points towards Carles Aleñá as the player in question.
Former Barcelona talent Aleñá is for his part fresh off a season out on loan away from Getafe, with Deportivo Alavés.
The 27-year-old, all told, racked up 25 league appearances during his time in Vitoria, chipping in with a pair of assists along the way.
And Aleñá’s performances, it would appear, proved enough to pique the attentions of a third Spanish top-flight club.
As per MD, Girona have already kickstarted negotiations with their Getafe counterparts, over a summer deal for the midfielder.
Aleñá is for his part keen to take his talents to the Estadi Montilivi, attracted by both the Girona project, and the prospect of being closer to home.
Though details remain to be ironed out between the parties, with just a year remaining on the player’s contract at the Estadio Coliseum, a transfer is considered as highly likely to ultimately come to fruition.
