A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Girona has agreed on the terms of a contract with Serie A champions Napoli.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Miguel Gutiérrez as the player in question.
The name of full-back Gutiérrez has of course emerged as an altogether prominent one in the Spanish media headlines this summer.
As much comes amid the understanding that, following another fine season in Girona colours in 2024/25, a whole host of clubs are expressing a keen interest in his signature.
Chief among them are the aforementioned Napoli, in the midst of an impressive summer window to date.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then the reigning Serie A champions now appear closer than ever to landing their man.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Miguel Gutierrez’s contract at Napoli from Girona will be valid until June 2030, five years. Deal set to be sealed on Thursday.’
