La Liga outfit Getafe are all set to tie up a deal for a recently-departed member of the attacking ranks at Leeds United.
That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Patrick Bamford as the player in question.
Frontman Bamford is for his part currently available as a free agent.
This comes after the once-capped England international was not offered a new contract at Elland Road.
Bamford is fresh off an altogether difficult campaign in 2024/25, which saw the 32-year-old feature on 17 occasions in the Championship.
Not a single one of these appearances, though, came in the form of a start.
Bamford had nevertheless been linked with a move to a number of English clubs since entering the free agent market.
But as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then the striker instead looks set for a new experience in Spain.
As per a report from Matteo Moretto:
‘Getafe-Bamford, today the parties will finalize the last details. The footballer, ready to fly to Spain.’
