Getafe boss Bordalás reveals Vinícius Jr. dig during Real Madrid clash

Getafe head coach José Bordalás has revealed that he was the subject of a jibe on the part of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr.

This came after the Azulones were reduced to 10 men during the meeting between the sides on Sunday.

Real Madrid of course made the short trip acros Spain’s capital yesterday evening, to lock horns with Getafe.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a hard-fought 1-0 result, courtesy of a solitary strike on the part of Kylian Mbappé.

It was Vinícius, though, who took his place centre stage in the headlines once more.

Introduced off the bench, the Brazilian was on the receiving end of challenges which saw not one, but two Getafe stars sent off.

The first came mere minutes after Allan Nyom was thrown into the fray by the hosts.

And as revealed by the aforementioned José Bordalás, Vinícius was quick to poke fun at he and his staff in the direct aftermath of Nyom’s dismissal:

“Vinícius said to me: ‘Good sub.’ I told him to get back to the pitch. That’s all, it doesn’t matter.”
