Gerard Piqué & streamer Ibai Llanos team up to show Ligue 1

Gerard Piqué’s business ventures continue to expand in the world of international football and now Kosmos, the sports holding company chaired by the Barcelona player, has bought the television rights to Ligue 1 for the next three seasons in a million-dollar deal, according to El Mundo.

Piqué is backing the competition in which his friends and former Barcelona team-mates Lionel Messi and Neymar will be playing in, after it took on a new dimension with the signings of PSG players Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma, among others.

The economic amount of the contract is still unknown. Piqué has joined forces with Enjoy Television to carry out the project. For the moment, his friend and streamer, Ibai Llanos, will be in charge of bringing Messi’s debut live to Spain when PSG play Stade de Reims on Sunday. Telecinco will also broadcast the match live in Spain.
