Gerard Piqué has helped the Spanish government buy 14 million face masks from China worth €32m, according to Cuatro.

The operation was carried out through Kosmos, a company owned by the defender and which organises, among other events, the Davis Cup in Madrid. The Barcelona player, as reported by El Larguero, received a call from the Spanish president asking for help in purchasing the large supply of masks for people in Madrid, which were then distributed free of charge to pharmacies.
