Tests carried out on Gareth Bale have revealed an injury to the hamstring in his right leg, according to journalist Melchor Ruiz.
Bale is expected to be out of action for up to six weeks and will not feature in Madrid’s game against Inter in the Champions League on Wednesday, in next Sunday’s league game against Valencia and is also expected to miss matches against Mallorca, Villarreal, Sheriff and Espanyol as well as Wales’ international matches in October.
This new injury is a significant setback for the Welshman after a good start to the season. Real Madrid have yet to issue a statement on the matter.
