Galatasaray want Real Madrid star in January

Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has made his way into the sights of Turkish giants Galatasaray with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.

This comes amid the understanding that the Istanbul-based outfit have earmarked the German as the no.1 target to reinforce their backline.

Rüdiger’s future in Spain’s capital is of course currently considered to be somewhat up in the air.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms next summer, it is currently unclear if the Bernabéu brass intend to offer the former Chelsea man a new deal or not.

Rüdiger has come in for increasing criticism for the level of his performances over the last 18 months, with the 32-year-old just this week having left a lot to be desired with his showing against Manchester City.

Real Madrid, in turn, could be tempted to cash in if a sufficient offer comes their way in January.

And as alluded to above, precisely as much could well be forthcoming on the part of Galatasaray.

As per a report from Diario AS:

‘According to the sports daily Fanatik, Galatasaray are focused on signing Rüdiger during the winter transfer window. The club plans to strengthen its squad in January, and the name at the top of the list is that of the German international from Real Madrid.’
