Galatasaray want Barcelona star this summer

A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has emerged as a summer transfer target on the part of Turkish champions Galatasaray.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is of course widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out.

With Espanyol standout Joan García on his way in at the Camp Nou, the German has been deemed surplus to requirements by Hansi Flick and co.

A number of clubs from across the continent, over recent days, have in turn been tipped as potential landing spots for Ter Stegen.

And as alluded to above, early this week, a new suitor have positioned themselves in the fray.

As per a report from MD, amid an ongoing search for a replacement for the retiring Fernando Muslera:

‘In the last few hours, a club that will compete in the next edition of the Champions League has expressed interest in the German goalkeeper. It’s Galatasaray, according to local sports daily Fotomac.’

It now remains to be seen if Ter Stegen would be interested in the prospect of a move to Turkey.
