Fresh concern for Real Madrid in Leny Yoro race

Spanish giants Real Madrid have been joined by yet another of the continent’s top clubs in the race for a chief summer transfer target.

The player in question? Leny Yoro.

The name of defender Yoro has of course found its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid for several months now.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the 18-year-old – widely considered to be one of the standout young talents in his home country of France – has been identified as a prime target on the part of the powers that be at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Florentino Pérez and co, in turn, have already begun work towards a summer deal.

And yet, as things stand, Los Blancos look no closer to actually striking an agreement than when negotiations began.

This comes as Lille continue to demand a premium fee for their defensive jewel.

And today, Real’s efforts have been complicated yet further, by way of the emergence of a new suitor in the race for Yoro’s services.

As per a report from transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio, alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, Liverpool have now thrown their hat in the ring for the stopper, too.

Not only that, but Di Marzio points towards the Reds ‘forcefully’ positioning themselves in the equation, ahead of a predicted incoming offer.

It now remains to be seen whether as much meets the asking price set out by the Lille hierarchy…
