Former Real Madrid youngster admits ‘I’d love to return’

Ex-Real Madrid talent Alex Jimenez has admitted that he would love nothing more than to reunite with the club down the line.

This comes amid something of a breakout campaign for the Spaniard in England.

Jimenez swapped AC Milan for Bournemouth last summer, after something of a hit-and-miss term in Serie A the year prior.

And the 20-year-old has since quickly gone on to establish himself as a leading figure in the Cherries’ squad.

All told, Jimenez has racked up 22 Premier League appearances to date (18 starts), impressing onlookers with his talents along the way.

Real Madrid, owing to the versatile full-back/winger’s past at the club, also secured for themselves a piece of the fee for Jimenez’s Bournemouth switch.

And if the latest comments on the part of the youngster are anything to go by, then the bond with his former employers appears to remain strong.

Speaking during an interview with Mundo Deportivo, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, this week, Jimenez admitted:

“I’m fully focused on Bournemouth now. But in future, of course I’d love to return to Real Madrid. It’s my home, I learned everything at Real Madrid. It’d be a dream to return there.”
