A summer exit from La Liga champions Barcelona is more than keen on a return to Catalunya’s capital.
That’s according to Blaugrana insider Joan Fontes, who points towards Iñigo Martínez as the player in question.
The name of defender Iñigo has of course dominated much of the chatter surrounding Barcelona over the early months of the campaign.
This comes with the 34-year-old’s absence having been sorely felt by Hansi Flick’s squad.
Iñigo, who played a starring role at the heart of Barca’s backline last season, was surprisingly allowed to depart on a free transfer for Al-Nassr over the summer.
And all of the former Athletic Club man’s defensive talents, ability to play out from the back and leadership have since been badly missed.
Those of a Blaugrana persuasion will in turn no doubt be interested to learn of the latest word stemming from the Spanish media on Wednesday.
