Somewhat bizarre footage of ex-Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin has turned heads online on Wednesday.
This comes after the Russian was spotted in one of Real Madrid’s official club stores, donning the colours of none other than Barcelona.
Arshavin has for his part never been shy in making clear his affinity for those on the Blaugrana side of the Clásico divide.
During a previous interview with Sport Express (as cited by Marca), in fact, the one-time winger admitted:
“I wouldn’t play for Madrid for all the money in the world. For me, Real Madrid is a total taboo. I’ve been a Barcelona fan for a long time.”
This past weekend, Arshavin was therefore no doubt left altogether disappointed, upon seeing Xabi Alonso’s troops emerge triumphant from the season’s first Clásico.
But this did not stop the 44-year-old from moving to make crystal clear his Barcelona allegiance once more this week.
As showcased below, Arshavin turned heads over the last 24 hours, in making his way to an official Real Madrid store, whilst wearing a Barca jersey with his name across the back:
