Ferran Torres vs Robert Lewandowski: Who will start for Barcelona vs Levante?

An insight into the plans of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick when it comes to his options at centre-forward for the club’s next outing has on Thursday been forthcoming online.

This comes with the German facing something of a selection headache.

Barcelona are of course fresh off a triumphant opening to the defence of their La Liga title, last weekend.

After making the trip to Son Moix to face Mallorca, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of an eventual 3-0 result.

Taking his place as the visitors’ attacking spearhead for the clash was Ferran Torres, who went on to find the net in style on the evening.

As much came with Robert Lewandowski unavailable for selection owing to injury.

With the latter now back in full training, though, Hansi Flick will be forced to make a call between the two attackers against Levante this weekend.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then it is Ferran who appears to boast the advantage at present.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘The most normal option is for Ferran Torres to continue as ‘9’, with Lewandowski entering in the second half to start enjoying the rhythm of competition.’
