Ferran Jutglà is leaving FC Barcelona for Club Brugge, and now the player has confirmed his departure via a heartfelt post addressed to the fans on social media.
Jutglà will join Belgian champions Brugge in a deal ranging between €5-7 million, as per news outlet Relevo.
The forward wrote on social media:
“Once the championship was over, we were immersed in days of a lot of tension, speculation and at the same time, uncertainty and excitement. I write these lines to infinitely thank the Barcelona family for giving me the opportunity to grow with their football. You have allowed me to fulfil a dream and it has been a very important step in my career.”
“In recent months, we have raised several scenarios for my future. I had the option of continuing at Barça, but also the option of joining another project with the idea of consolidating my professional career. In this regard, I would like to thank the management and the board for taking my wish into account.”
Jutglà has, however, left the door open to become a part of Barcelona in the future again.
“Football goes round and round, and of course I leave the door open to return in the future to wear a shirt as important as Barça’s in two or three seasons.”
Jutglà bagged 19 goals this season in the third tier for Barcelona B, but also scored a goal each in La Liga and the Copa del Rey for the senior team.
