Fede Valverde: “I don’t want to take the blame for the coach retiring.”

Fede Valverde discussed Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Elche in La Liga on Wednesday.

“I’m happy for the team. He (Ancelotti) already said it, I have to score more than 10 goals. I’m focused on doing it. It’s nice pressure to have. I don’t want to take the blame for the coach retiring,” the Uruguayan midfielder said in words reported by AS.

Disallowed goals

“You have to get used to it. It’s strange, you celebrate the goal and you think you’re comfortable. You get one disallowed, then another and then another? That’s how it is.”

Playing after the Clásico

“It’s hard, after winning an important game it’s hard. If we want to win all the titles, we have to win all the games.”

Valverde opened the scoring on the night and Madrid extended their lead thanks to second-half goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.

Madrid have won their first six away games in a single La Liga season for only the second time.
