Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has moved to heap praise on a pair of teammates in Spain’s capital.
The pair in question? Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Jr.
Both Mbappé and Vinícius were of course in from the off yesterday evening, as Real Madrid made the trip to high-flying Villarreal for a La Liga clash.
The pair played central roles in the visitors’ eventual triumph, with the former having notched a brace, and the latter having proven integral to the deadlock being broken.
It was an altogether different aspect of their respective performances, though, which the aforementioned Fede Valverde was keen to highlight post-match.
Post-match at La Cerámica, midfielder Valverde was drawn on the latest performance conjured up by Álvaro Arbeloa’s side.
And the Uruguayan made use of the opportunity to draw attention to the work of his attacking teammates when out of possession:
“I’d like to highlight the defensive work of Mbappé & Vini Jr.”
