Fabián Ruiz out until after the World Cup

Fabíán Ruiz will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks with a muscle injury, communicate AS.

The Spanish midfielder had to be replaced by Renato Sanches in the first half of PSG’s Champions League fixture midweek against Juventus.

According to the club’s medical staff, Ruiz will be sidelined for several weeks and is unlikely to make a return before the World Cup.

Even though he has not been called up by Luis Enrique to the Spanish national team since the Euros last summer, he has not closed the door to making a return to La Roja in the future.

However, his injury makes it more than certain that he will miss the chance to represent Spain on the world’s biggest stage.

Ruiz joined PSG this past summer transfer window from Napoli, however, he has not been able to establish himself as a regular in the starting XI.
