Espanyol star Edu Expósito has secured for himself a joint-share of the benchmark for most key passes played in La Liga this season.
This comes fresh off the midfielder’s latest telling contribution for high-flying Espanyol on Saturday.
Afforded a starting berth in his side’s league meeting with Elche, Expósito laid on the game’s only goal, for his third assist of the campaign.
This kept alive what has been a stellar return to form on the part of the 29-year-old, who just last year suffered a torn ACL.
Such ongoing excellence is highlighted by the aforementioned statistic, that Expósito is now joint-top of the La Liga standings when it comes to key passes this season.
As revealed by statistician Albert Ortega, the Espanyol conductor has joined Real Madrid pair Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé on 23 key passes across the campaign to date.
Espanyol, meanwhile, now sit in the dizzying heights of 3rd in the table in Spain’s top-flight.
