La Liga newcomers Elche have tied up an agreement to reinforce the club’s backline for the season ahead.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Victor Chust as the player on the way in.
Elche are of course looking forward to an upcoming campaign back in the top-flight of Spanish football.
After securing promotion courtesy of a runners-up finish in La Liga 2, the Franjiverdes have in turn set about bringing in the kind of reinforcements necessary to avoid an immediate return to the 2nd tier.
And as alluded to above, this week, a deal for one such player has been closed.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘La Liga side Elche agree deal to sign Victor Chust as new defender from Cádiz. Loan plus option to buy, deal signed between clubs.’
Central defender Chust for his part racked up 40 league appearances in the colours of Cádiz last season, chipping in with three goals and an assist along the way.
