Dortmund boss Terzić labels Atlético Madrid ‘a little monster’ ahead of Champions League clash

The latest comments on the part of Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzić have piqued widespread attentions this afternoon.

As much comes owing to the eye-catching wording made use of by Terzić to describe Atlético Madrid.

Dortmund, of course, are fresh off discovering the club’s continental fate on Friday morning.

After scraping past Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in the Round-of-16, BVB have been rewarded with a Champions League quarter-final showdown with the aforementioned Atlético Madrid.

Atléti, for their part, advanced beyond Serie A leaders Inter Milan to book their own spot in the competition’s last eight on Wednesday, with Dortmund no doubt set to be subjected to a similarly raucous atmosphere upon making the trip to the Wanda Metropolitano next month.

Speaking in a press conference a short time ago, the subject of the task awaiting his side in getting the better of an always-dangerous Rojiblancos outfit was in turn put to the aforementioned Edin Terzić.

And his response, as alluded to above, has since hit the headlines across the continent.

This comes with Dortmund’s headmaster, in quotes gathered by German outlet Zeit, having gone on to label Diego Simeone’s troops ‘a little monster’, who must be put to the sword:

“The clear goal is to break the game down against a strong opponent who is a little monster that has to be defeated, especially in the knockout games.”

Terzić concluded:

“And then we look forward to the home game in Dortmund with a good result to experience a similarly magical night as two days ago.”
