Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone has taken advantage of the international break to travel to Turkey, report AS. The Argentine tactician visited an old friend, Arda Turan, the head coach of Eyupspor, who are the current leaders of Turkey’s Second Division.
Simeone went to the Turkish club’s facilities to speak with Turan and met the team’s players. Former Atlético winger Turan posted photos with Simeone on his Instagram account along with a message for his former coach.
“A human life is the sum of the memories you accumulate. We have worked together for many years, and I have won the most important trophies of my career together with him.
“Today he came with his family to Istanbul and, although he had very little time, he visited us. It was a big surprise for us. Simeone has had many successes thanks to his love of football. He is a special person, he has a big heart. He is a genius with his solutions and his tactics on the pitch. I love you Míster, I have always loved you and I will always love you. Thanks for this moment that I will always remember.”
