The latest social media activity on the part of Atlético Madrid head coach has turned heads across Spain this weekend.
This comes after the Argentine ‘liked’ a head-turning post, pointing towards the Rojiblancos’ summer spending spree as being far from over.
Atlético have of course enjoyed an altogether productive last week on the transfer front.
After first tying up a deal for Real Betis star Johnny Cardoso, the brass at the Metropolitano quickly followed up with an agreement to bring in Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta, too.
And Atléti were not done there, either, with headline transfer target Álex Baena also now on his way in from La Liga rivals Villarreal.
Some of a Colchoneros persuasion, in turn, would likely have been under the assumption that their side’s spending for the summer was now, for the most part at least, complete.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest social media activity on the part of manager Diego Simeone is anything to go by, then this may not be the case at all…
As relaid by ‘Atletico Universe’ on ‘X’, Simeone this weekend liked an Instagram post, highlighting information from Marca which suggests that Atlético are ready to reinforce with further big-money signings over the months ahead.
One such transfer target highlighted, meanwhile, comes in the form of Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero:
