Valencia star Diego López has on Tuesday provided an update on his ongoing contract renewal talks with the club. And the news will no doubt be met with widespread excitement on the part of the Valencia faithful.
Wide-man López is for his part in the midst of what has been a fine individual campaign to date.
Amid a largely challenging campaign all told for his side, the 23-year-old has proven himself arguably Los Che’s very standout performer.
All told, in 40 appearances across all competitions, López has racked up an impressive nine goals, and six assists.
Those behind the scenes at Mestalla, in turn, have long been hard at work, in efforts to tie their star attacker down to a new long-term contract.
And, speaking during an exchange with the media on Tuesday, López provided an update on the progress of such negotiations.
In quotes gathered by Marca, the Spaniard explained:
“Talks have continued and things are on track, things are going well, we’re getting along well, and hopefully everything will turn out well. I hope I stay here because I’m happy and I won’t be better off than here.”
