According to Fabrizio Romano, Sevilla defender Diego Carlos has completed his medical with Aston Villa.
The Brazilian will join the Premier League side after the clubs agreed a deal worth €31 million on Thursday.
Newcastle had been previously interested in the 29-year-old but Steven Gerrard and Villa have bolstered their defence with the accomplished defender.
In 2021/22, he made 34 league appearances for Sevilla, scoring three goals.
