Spanish football icon Sergio Ramos has agreed a deal to take over as owner of his beloved Sevilla.
And on Tuesday, an insight into the financial details of the agreement has come to the fore online.
Defender Ramos is currently available as a free agent, having not yet announced his retirement as a player since departing Mexican outfit Monterrey.
But the 40-year-old evidently has no intention of stepping away from the game any time soon…
Over the course of the last week, reports have been rampant regarding an attempted takeover bid of Ramos’ boyhood club Sevilla, led by the Spaniard himself.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, an agreement has been put in place between the parties.
As per a report from journalist and market insider Ben Jacobs:
‘Five Eleven Capital, led by Sergio Ramos, have reached an agreement to buy Sevilla following a period of exclusivity. Sale price in excess of €400m.’
