An insight into the considerable sum cleared off the club’s wage bill by those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona has this weekend been provided.
This of course comes after the Blaugrana made official the latest departure from Hansi Flick’s squad.
After a quick fire round of negotiations over recent days, veteran defender Iñigo Martínez has swapped Catalunya’s capital for the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Nassr.
As per a report from Diario AS, owing to the fact that they have not yet aligned with the 1:1 financial rule:
‘Barcelona won’t be able to count 100% of his €14 million salary toward fair play, but they can release 60%, or around €8.4 million.’
This means that, across the summer to date, Deco and co. are understood to have cleared around €30m from the wage bill at the Camp Nou.
As much comes after the prior departures of all of Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, Pablo Torre and Clément Lenglet.
