Deportivo Alavés star Nahuel Tenaglia has sent something of a warning the way of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
This comes ahead of the upcoming meeting between the sides, this weekend.
Alavés are primed to make the daunting trip to Catalunya’s capital on Saturday evening, to take on reigning champions Barcelona in a La Liga clash.
The Blaugrana head into the matchup fresh off a 4-0 drubbing of Athletic Club in their most recent domestic outing.
As much was followed, though, by an alarming 3-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.
And the latter, it would appear, has given Barca’s next opponents, Alavés, some welcome confidence when it comes to their chances of causing an upset.
Speaking during an appearance at Ibaia, as cited by Diario Sport, this week, Babazorros defender Nahuel Tenaglia explained:
“We are going to go and do our job, to compete at 110% and to bring a victory from the Barcelona stadium that would be very nice for us. We have to respect them off the pitch, but inside we are 11 against 11, we have to go and defend our own and bring the three points.”
Tenaglia continued:
“We have to take it game by game. We only think about Barcelona and doing things as well as possible, because we know they are a great rival, but we have the squad to fight.”
