An insight into the plans of the board at La Liga giants Barcelona when it comes to making Marcus Rashford’s move to the club permanent has on Wednesday been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Sky Sports, and confirms that, for the time being, no decision will be made.
Frontman Rashford of course made the move to Catalunya’s capital over the summer.
After the Englishman was identified as the ideal backup target to Athletic Club’s Nico Williams, Deco and co. snapped Rashford up on a season-long loan from Manchester United.
The 27-year-old has spent the last couple of weeks beginning to provide the Blaugrana with a glimpse into his unquestionable talents, courtesy of a string of impressive performances.
The highlight of this run came at St. James’ Park, when Rashford proved himself match-winner in a 2-1 Champions League victory over Newcastle United.
Such exploits have given rise to mounting early chatter surrounding Barca’s plans for the winger beyond next summer.
As alluded to above, though, no decision regarding as much is expected any time soon.
As per a report from Sky Sports:
‘Barcelona are unlikely to discuss a permanent move for Marcus Rashford until next summer, despite being ‘delighted’ with his current progress.’
