Barcelona sporting director Deco is ready to bring to an end a personal trip to Brazil, to sit down for a meeting with Blaugrana head coach Hansi Flick.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards as much as having been pencilled in to talk through potential late-window reinforcements.
Barcelona, of course, are fresh off bidding farewell to a leading member of the club’s defensive ranks.
In something of a bolt from the blue, Iñigo Martínez informed the Camp Nou brass of his intention to head to the Middle East, in the face of an offer from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Deco and co, in turn, quickly sanctioned a contract termination for the 34-year-old.
Just a week out from the new Spanish campaign being kicked into gear, Barcelona, all of a sudden, have therefore been left looking somewhat short at the back.
As per a report from Sport, as a result:
‘Deco will now return from a trip to Brazil for personal reasons and sit down to talk with Flick to analyze if it is viable to carry out an incorporation in defense.’
