Dani Ceballos confirms there has been interest from La Liga clubs

Speaking to Spanish TV program El Chiringuito, Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is currently on loan at Arsenal revealed he is aware of the interest of several La Liga clubs.

I’ve never spoken with the Míster (Zinedine Zidane) via text message. During my rehab one day, we saw each other (at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training facility) and spoke and he asked me how my injury was, that I had been playing a lot in the Premier League and that he was happy.

In January there were some nerves and anxiety, the Euros were getting closer and I practically wasn’t playing, because I came back from being out injured for two months and I wasn’t at my best, I had to look at myself and not leave the club as people wanted or thought.

I started to train and my situation changed. Mikel Arteta gave me a chance; the last month and a half I thought I had a great chance of going to the Euros and I felt important again at Arsenal.

Regarding La Liga interest in the player. Ceballos revealed he is aware of it. “Yes, my agent told me about Valencia’s interest. Yes (Sevilla were interested), people talked about Real Betis too. I have a lot of affection for Betis. In Seville, I could only play for Betis. I didn’t talk to Julen Lopetegui, it would be difficult. if I played in Seville I could only play for one team which is the team I love (Real Betis).”
