Cucurella, Bernardo Silva & more: Real Madrid summer signings handed their jersey numbers

The respective squad numbers of the players to have put pen to paper on terms with La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer have on Monday been unveiled.

This of course comes amid what has been a busy window to date for those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Following the return of José Mourinho to the bench in Spain’s capital, Florentino Pérez and his board quickly set about rejuvenating Real Madrid’s first-team squad with talent befitting of the famed colours of Los Blancos.

To date, this recruitment drive has culminated in deals for six players, namely Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella, Carlos Espí and, most recently, Yan Diomandé.

Following their respective exploits at the World Cup, this group has since trickled into Valdebebas one by one, to begin preparations for the new campaign.

And as alluded to above, early this week, all six have been made aware of their Real Madrid jersey numbers. As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, Real’s latest group of stars will don the following digits this season:

  • Ibrahima Konaté – 16
  • Marc Cucurella – 17
  • Carlos Espí – 19
  • Bernardo Silva – 20
  • Denzel Dumfries – 24
  • Yan Diomandé – 25
