Saudi giants Al-Nassr have positioned themselves firmly in the race to sign a player heavily linked with Barcelona this summer.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.
Wide-man Díaz has of course long taken his place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes owing to widespread confirmation that the Colombian international is one of the leading contenders to reinforce the left wing in Hansi Flick’s squad.
Just today, amid alleged difficulties in landing chief target Nico Williams, Díaz’s name reemerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona.
As alluded to above, though, should the Blaugrana have genuine hopes of landing the Liverpool star, they look set to face competition from one of Saudi football’s most high-profile clubs.
As per a report from Sport:
‘According to reports from England, Al-Nassr are willing to pay 85 million pounds for Luis Díaz.’
This is a sum which Barcelona would have no intention of matching.
