Cristiano Ronaldo calls Real Madrid star over reunion at Al-Nassr

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has made contact with a current member of the club’s ranks, regarding a potential joining of forces in Saudi Arabia this summer.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Nacho as the player in question.

Nacho, for his part, is of course fresh off leading Real Madrid to glory on the continent, courtesy of a 2-0 Champions League final downing of Borussia Dortmund on Saturday night.

As much, though, could yet prove to be the 34-year-old’s final outing in the colours of Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

His current terms are due to expire later this month, with it as of yet unclear exactly what Nacho’s plans entail beyond the summer.

And, as alluded to above, one individual eager to take advantage of such uncertainty comes in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo.

As per Marca, CR7 recently made direct phone contact with former teammate Nacho, to call for a joining of forces at Al-Nassr next season.

The Portuguese is eager to ‘get the band back together’ in the Middle East, with Manchester United midfielder Casemiro another potential arrival in Riyadh.

Ronaldo is expected to have a tough time in convincing Nacho of the merits of the move, with it remaining to be seen if the stopper could have his head turned by the riches on offer in the Saudi Pro League.
