Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo has this weekend provided an insight into his appreciation for the talents of a member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona.
The player in question? Lamine Yamal.
Stars past and present are of course primed to lock horns in the finale of the Nations League on Sunday night.
This comes as the aforementioned Ronaldo and Lamine prepare to face off in a showdown between European heavyweights Portugal and Spain.
On the eve of the clash, the former therefore took his place in front of the media, for a pre-match press conference.
And during as much, Ronaldo was inevitably drawn on Barcelona’s wing sensation:
“Lamine Yamal is doing very well, taking advantage of his talent,” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner began. ”Let the kid grow. Don’t put too much pressure on him. Let him be and grow well, take the pressure off. He has no shortage of talent.”
CR7 continued:
“My son and Lamine look very much alike, their skin colour, tan skin, their hairstyle… They are 3 years apart. I like Lamine Yamal a lot, and my son admires him a lot.”
