Courtois & Güler: Real Madrid line-up plans for Cádiz clash

An insight into the plans of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti for the club’s La Liga meeting with Cádiz has on Wednesday been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Relevo, and points towards heavy rotation again being expected in the Real XI.

Los Blancos are of course fresh off a hard-fought draw with German heavyweights Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday night.

With the tie’s 2nd leg set to play out next week, and the La Liga title all but wrapped up, a number of more seldom-seen members of Ancelotti’s squad are therefore in line for more prominent roles this weekend.

As per the aforementioned Relevo, first and foremost will come the return of long-term injury absentee Thibaut Courtois, in line for his first start since all the way back in August.

Dani Carvajal is also expected to feature at right-back, after sitting out against Bayern at the Allianz Arena through suspension.

Further forward, youngster Arda Güler’s match-winning display at Real Sociedad last weekend will see him afforded a 2nd successive start.

And the likes of Fran García, Éder Militão, Brahim Díaz and Joselu, too, should be in from the off against Cádiz on Saturday afternoon.
