FC Copenhagen sporting director Sune Smith-Nielsen has on Tuesday confirmed that the club are on the verge of tying up a transfer agreement with La Liga champions Barcelona.
As much will see young winger Roony Bardghji seal a summer move to the latter.
The name of attacker Bardghji has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.
This comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, assuring that the 19-year-old was inching towards the Camp Nou.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, for one, went as far as to give the deal his trademark ‘here we go’ confirmation:
During an exchange with the media on Tuesday evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the ongoing chatter surrounding Bardghji’s name was put to Copenhagen director Sune Smith-Nielsen.
And in quotes provided to 365scores Arabic, relaid by Mundo Deportivo, Smith-Nielsen admitted:
“There are advanced talks with Barcelona to sign Ronny Bardghji. We have a very attractive offer from Barcelona. We are currently in talks with Roony and his representatives to finalise all agreements. We hope the player will soon undergo a medical with Barcelona, after which the agreement will be formalised.”
