A fresh insight into the future of Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has come to the fore on Monday evening.
The name of versatile midfielder Kimmich has of course long taken its place at the forefront of the headlines across Europe.
As much comes as speculation pointing towards a potential summer exit from the Allianz Arena for the German international continues to circulate online.
Amid what has proven a hugely frustrating campaign, from an individual and collective standpoint, for Kimmich in Bavaria, it is understood that he is giving serious consideration to seeking out a new adventure in the summer.
The impending exit of Thomas Tuchel – with whom the 29-year-old is known to have a strained relationship – could well work in Bayern’s favour when it comes to convincing Kimmich to stay put.
But a number of clubs from across the continent, first and foremost La Liga giants Barcelona, are known to be keeping a close eye on the situation, with a view to a summer bid.
And, as alluded to above, on Monday, a fresh insight into the plans of the former RB Leipzig talent has been forthcoming online.
The info comes courtesy of Sky Sport Germany, who have confirmed that a separation between Kimmich and Bayern – ahead of the expiration of his contract in 2025 – is beginning to look increasingly likely.
Not only that, but the German has already made clear the list of clubs whom he would be willing to join.
Sky report that Kimmich has already ruled out all of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain as potential landing spots.
On the other hand, in contention to land him this summer, are the Premier League trio of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City, as well as the aforementioned Barcelona and, concerningly for the Blaugrana, Clásico rivals Real Madrid.
