Premier League giants Chelsea are expected to make use of their upcoming meeting with Barcelona to initiate talks over a potential deal for Marc Casadó.
This comes amid long-standing interest on the part of the Blues in the Spanish international.
Chelsea, it is understood, are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.
And Casadó, boasting talent and youth alike, is according to Caught Offside considered the ideal profile of player.
Upon Barcelona making the trip to Stamford Bridge for a Champions League clash later this month, the expectation is in turn that the Chelsea board will attempt to kickstart discussions over a transfer.
Fellow Londoners Arsenal, meanwhile, are also credited with an interest in Casadó’s services.
As of yet, it is unclear if the 22-year-old would for his part be open to the prospect of a Premier League switch, having long made clear his unwavering commitment to the cause in Barcelona.
