Chelsea star Marc Cucurella has early this week turned heads across the European football landscape.
This comes after the defender was surprisingly open in admitting that he would find it tough to turn down a return to former club Barcelona.
Cucurella for his part brought a close to his stint in Blaugrana colours back in the summer of 2020.
Since, the 27-year-old has gone on to line out for all of Getafe, Brighton & Hove Albion, and current employers Chelsea.
During this time, Cucurella has gone on to establish himself firmly in the conversation for the best left-back in world football.
On the lookout for reinforcements at full-back at present, it has in turn been suggested that Barcelona would be interested in bringing their former youth talent back to Catalunya’s capital.
And if the latest comments on the part of Cucurella himself are anything to go by, then he would seemingly not be at all opposed to such a move.
Drawn on a potential Barca reunion whilst speaking to the Spanish media on Monday, the Chelsea man admitted:
“If Barça called me, it would be hard to turn down. Right now I’m not thinking about that, but if it happens, we’ll see…”
