According to Bild, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has made Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane his primary defensive target this summer.
The France international’s contract with Madrid expires in 2022 and although Los Blancos want to renew his current deal, the club’s hierarchy expect the player to eventually ask to leave at the end of the current season. It has been reported by AS that Varane wants to move for sporting reasons and experience playing in a different league.
