Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger is on the transfer radar of former club Chelsea with a view to next season.
This comes as the Blues seek to take advantage of the German’s uncertain future in Spain’s capital.
Rüdiger, as things stand, is due to depart Real Madrid in the summer of 2026, upon the expiration of his current contract terms.
The parties have long held discussions over the terms of a renewal, but as of yet, an agreement has not been found.
A number of clubs from across world football, particularly in the Saudi Pro League, have in turn been credited with an interest in the signature of the 32-year-old.
And as alluded to above, this week, a new suitor have been positioned in the fray.
As per a report from Marca, Chelsea are keeping a close eye on the contract talks between Rüdiger and the Santiago Bernabéu brass.
The Blues, on the lookout for proven reinforcements at centre-back, would be keen on reuniting with their former defensive stalwart next summer.
