Premier League giants Chelsea are expressing a keen interest in the signing of Real Madrid star Rodrygo ahead of the winter transfer window.
That’s according to Fichajes, who have this week provided an insight into the situation.
Frontman Rodrygo is for his part of course in the midst of what has been an altogether underwhelming opening to the new campaign.
After a summer packed with speculation surrounding his future, the Brazilian has failed to rediscover his brilliant best form.
All told, Rodrygo has been afforded just three starts by new head coach Xabi Alonso, failing to find the net even once along the way.
Ahead of the January window, speculation has in turn long begun to mount once more that the 24-year-old could soon be on the move.
As per Fichajes, Chelsea are giving real consideration to tabling a mid-season offer for Rodrygo.
The Blues, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third, would be ready to part with a fee in the region of €80 million to bring the attacker in.
It now remains to be seen if Rodrygo would for his part be keen on the prospect of a Stamford Bridge switch.
