Cesc Fàbregas has confessed that he has had numerous offers from his former coaches to become a part of their coaching staff, as reported by AS via SoFoot.
The Spanish midfielder endured a difficult 2021-22 season, only playing 159 minutes due to injury. That said, the 35-year-old has confirmed that his intention is to continue playing despite receiving offers to step into the coaching arena.
“To be honest, I’ve had two or three phone calls in the last few days from my former coaches to see what I wanted to do, in case I wanted to join them this summer as a coach.”
Fàbregas also confirmed that he is looking to leave AS Monaco, with his contract set to expire this month. The former Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder wants to play at least another season before retiring.
“My contract expires in June and I’m looking for a new start. I need to start somewhere new.
“I want to keep playing. I’m grateful for the career I’ve had, but I don’t feel it’s over. I want to have fun. The place doesn’t really matter, it’s more my head.”
