A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis is closing on a move to Italy, with Como.
That’s according to transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, who highlights Jesús Rodríguez as the player in question.
Youngster Rodríguez is for his part fresh off something of a breakout campaign in his home country of Spain.
After bursting onto the first-team picture at the aforementioned Real Betis, the 19-year-old went on to rack up 21 La Liga appearances.
And the impressive level of Rodríguez’s performances on the left wing did not go at all unnoticed across the continent.
A whole host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the youngster, considered a potential attacking star in the making.
And as alluded to above, this week, one such club have emerged as clear frontrunners for his signature.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:
‘Como are closing in on deal to sign Jesús Rodriguez from Real Betis, almost done! Understand package will be worth €22.5m initial fee plus €6m add-ons. Final details to be sorted and then… here we go for the Spanish talent.’
