A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Celta Vigo is primed to take his talents to Serie A, with Hellas Verona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Unai Núñez as the player in question.
Stopper Núñez for his part spent this past season out on loan away from Vigo, with fellow La Liga outfit Athletic Club.
Amid stiff competition for places in Ernesto Valverde’s backline, though, the 28-year-old struggled for game time, on his way to just 14 appearances across all competitions.
In turn, it came as little surprise when Athletic opted against attempting to make Núñez’s signing permanent.
As alluded to above, though, the once-capped Spanish international is nevertheless set to be on the move once more over the days ahead.
As per a report from MD:
‘Celta Vigo have reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the loan of defender Unai Núñez to the Italian club, sources at the Galician club told EFE.’
