Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has tonight provided updates on the wellbeing of both Jude Bellingham, and Ferland Mendy.
This comes after the pair were forced into respective premature departures from the club’s meeting with Girona.
Real were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to the Estadi Montilivi for a La Liga clash.
When all was saida and done, Los Blancos emerged dominant victors, thanking goals on the part of all of Jude Bellingham, Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé for an eventual 3-0 triumph.
An otherwise positive evening’s work for the reigning Spanish champions, however, was soured for the club’s supporters by a pair of fresh concerns on the personnel front.
After Jude Bellingham was forced into a premature departure from proceedings on the hour mark, Ferland Mendy followed suit late on.
Speaking to the media post-match, the subject of the wellbeing of both was in turn put to Carlo Ancelotti.
And the updates proved to be of a mixed nature, as follows:
“Jude Bellingham is fine. He was only tired. He will be available (to face Atalanta).
“Ferland Mendy is injured, muscle injury. He won’t (be ready to face Atalanta).”
