Carlo Ancelotti confirms Real Madrid’s plans for Arda Güler next season

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed the club’s immediate plans for youngster Arda Güler.

As much, of course, comes fresh off an outing to remember for Güler on Friday night.

With one eye on next week’s Champions League semi-final showdown with German heavyweights Bayern Munich, Carlo Ancelotti opted to heavily rotate his starting XI to face Real Sociedad this evening.

And one beneficiary came in the form of the aforementioned Güler.

Afforded his first-ever starting berth in La Liga, the Turk went on to take full advantage of the situation, netting what proved to be the only goal of the game just inside the half-hour mark.

Speaking to the media on the back of his side’s latest victory, it therefore came as little surprise when Güler’s name was put to his manager once more.

Specifically, Ancelotti was asked what exactly Real Madrid’s plans for the 19-year-old entail beyond the summer, amid what has proven a trying debut campaign at the Santiago Bernabéu.

And the Italian’s ensuing response will no doubt come as music to the ears of all associated with Los Blancos.

This comes with Ancelotti having assured that, despite claims to the contrary in the media, Güler will be part of his squad next season:

“Arda Güler will be a very important player for us in the future. There is no doubt that he will stay here next season.”
